Internal/External Conservatory Awnings
Weinor WGM Top
The WGM top by Weinor is the perfect system for almost any conservatory roof, wooden pergola structure or glass room and can be retrofitted to pretty much anything.
This versatile product by Weinor can provide sun protection on roofs and windows up to a whopping 6.5m wide in just the one awning, but when coupled together to create a multisystem unit it can span as wide as you can imagine.
When buying a Weinor product you know that its design matters just as much as its actual use as Weinor value design just as important as the function and the WGM Top doesn’t buck from that trend. It complements any style of conservatory or patio roof with its stylish design perfectly integrating into the building façade and overall look. It has an extremely slimline profile with trendy clean lines and no visible fixings.
There is a huge selection of frame and fabric colours that are available as standard with no additional or hidden costs so that you have a product that will compliment every architectural style even for both a commercial or domestic property.
The WGM Top has 2 main options for side finishes with the standard rail side channel but also by sing Weinor’s unique OptiStretch technology which secures the fabric tight into the side channels that gives you a perfectly taut fabric with zero light bleed. The fabric is tightly clamped on all four sides to achieve this. The basic version is only clamped on two sides and also has a slight gap between the fabric and the side channels which lets through a small bit of light bleed.
Both options come with the same strong rope tension system that ensures an even fabric position no matter how far out you bring the awning.
Weinor Sottezza
The Weinor Sottezza is an alternative to the WGM Top conservatory awning. The big difference with the Sottezza is that it fits on the underside of your patio roof, as opposed to on top where the fabric is exposed to the elements and over time will get weathered and dirty.
As the Sottezza II is under-mounted it leave your Pergola style structure with a sleek and understated finish. As with all conservatory awnings it is perfect in providing shade and reducing the heat when the sun is shining as the awning reduces the build-up of heat under the glass. Through the winter and any cold autumn days, the fabric creates an insulating barrier between the underside and the glass, while at the same time it uses the warming solar rays to heat up your patio area so that you enjoy your alfresco experience all year round.
The Weinor Sottezza can be retrofitted to almost every form of patio roof, from glass conservatories, wooden pergola structures or even Velux style roof light windows.
There are 2 options to choose from on the Sottezza, the Stretch and OptiStretch. With the Sottezza OptiStretch, the fabric is always securely held within the side channel with the unique zip technology, which works just like a normal zip on your jacket. This ensures that the fabric is always taut no matter how much the roof has been opened, and also leave no light bleed whatsoever coming in at the sides. This is the best option for when the patio structure is still opened to the elements and prone to gusting winds.
With the basic Stretch version, the fabric is firmly clamped on both sides of the side channels. This is paired with a strong rope pulley system that helps reduce the fabric sag and minimises the risk of the edges of the fabric hanging over the sides.
Both of these systems also come with the option of adding LED lighting which is integrated into the cassette so that the lighting blends seamlessly into the architecture of your patio roof.
The Sottezza is a fully electric system with a number of different control options. As standard, it comes with a wireless hand remote control that lets you easily control the roof from the comfort of your chair. Alternatively, as an optional extra, you could also control the roof, lights and heating all from your mobile phone.

With a wide range of unique speciality fabrics that reflect and protect from the sun’s harmful rays through the sunny summer period, but through winter it provides an insulating barrier to help keep heat in. Through all of this, you will be able to make more use of what should be your favourite room in the house with better control of the heat and light that you allow in.
Remote Control Handset
They are operated with a number of options, the most common being with a remote control handset, to controlling it with your mobile phone as we move into the next big thing, home automation. You can also add a sun & heat sensor so that the awning would automatically open itself when the room either gets too hot or too cold throughout the day so that when you get home from a hard day at work and want to relax, it is already at the perfect temperature for you. Alternatively, you can also use a timer control to make full use of it.

We use only the highest quality special fabrics that are manufactured especially for conservatory awnings. They achieve the highest level of UV stability and you also have the option of a perforated material which allows transparency of light and water to go through it on an external installation.

Deans Shades & Graphics was established in the 1960s’ by its founder the late Stan Martin. From then until now many generations of the family have joined up and put their blood sweat and tears into learning the family trade.
The bonus of having 3 generations working at the one company is that we still have the years of experience provided by our founding member but have been lucky to add sons and grandsons who help keep Deans Shades & Graphics relevant and filled with modern ideas. During our starting days, we worked closely with the world’s longest-running awning company, where we helped design many parts that are still used in modern awnings and canopies today.
Over the years we have had factories throughout the UK, being based in London, Manchester and Liverpool – and even for a 10 year period we set up and operated through America. It was during this period of growth where we found the then-new product, self-adhesive window film, which would go on to shape the worlds shading needs.
Since we were one of the first companies in the UK to start supplying window film, we have evolved alongside the changing rules, regulations and requirements that go along with window film to ensure we have been at the forefront of the trade from start to present day.
But the one thing that we have learned is that to never forget your roots, and eventually, we settled back in Scotland to bring our expertise together and become Scotland largest and longest-running company in both the awning and canopy trade as well as the window film and graphics.

Surveying – we offer a totally free survey service throughout the whole of Scotland for our awnings, window film & manifestations and commercial window blinds services.
Design service
When a standard design won’t work for your premises we can design and supply a bespoke canopy or manufacture custom brackets to allow us to carry out the installation that others turn down. This is also the case for graphics, manifestations and window blinds.
Finance/leasing options
We appreciate that some of our premium priced, so we have created financing options to help you achieve your dream without breaking the bank all in the one go. Furthermore giving you the customer more control over your cash flow.
Installation
With a combined 30 years’ installation experience by our awning installation team and combined 50 years’ experience by our window film installation team and commercial blind fitters, we can promise a perfect finish every time.
Awning & canopy maintenance
When you buy one of our awnings you buy it for life, but after a couple of years, you may wish to apply a new cover or change your branding. We can replace the cover on all types of awnings & canopies, and free service is included in every re-covering.
Free guarantees & warranties
All of our products carry a minimum of 2 years warranty on all parts and installation, with other product carrying a huge 10-year warranty as standard.
Hand-painted signwriting service
For when you want to add extra advertisement or design to your awning, we have worked with the same signwriter for the past 25 years to upkeep the high finish that the big brand names require.
