To ensure that we can help you make those dreams a reality we supply premium systems to cover your terrace patio area at your home or business property.

We offer a wide range of pergola systems as we know that every project is different, from different tastes and budgets. The entry range Plaza Viva features a unique telescopic post for installs where you can’t get the desired pitch to be used as a rain cover so that you can adjust down one side of the awning and let the water drain off. The wall bracket also has innovative floating bearings that reduce the load over the whole structure when you wind the telescopic post down.

The telescopic post also has a premium compensation joint so that the structure can flexibly adjust to the new pitch when you lower it. This is ideal for outside your home patio as it is budget-friendly and has a light construction despite its heavy-duty capabilities. It can also be paired with the Valance Plus, which is essentially a heavy-duty roller blind to help provide extra privacy, stop the low winter sun blind you and protects you from the wind while sitting outside enjoying a good book.

For areas that are exposed to extreme winds and weather year-round then we offer a heavy-duty all-year-round solution, the Weinor PergoTex II. It comes with so many options and extras for every situation, from full fixed or sliding glass sides and front to create a water and windproof indoor area, it’s essentially an extension of your property. So adding the Valance plus options to the side and front to give you extra privacy and protection from the elements. It also has full integrated drainage to control the water flow off the roof, into the gutter, down the guttering posts and into the drainage area of your choice.

Weinor Plaza Viva

The latest addition to the Weinor range is the Plaza Viva. This textile pergola lets you have an alfresco living in almost any weather condition.

You can now use your outdoor patio area right through into the night with minimum worries, regardless of the great Scottish weather. From using it as a sunshade on a sunny summers day to extremely stable weather protection that puts a folding arm awning to shame in high winds, thanks to the Plaza Viva you can enjoy your outdoor living without any interruptions.

A host of cutting edge features make this the most adaptable and pergola ever. It comes with an optional telescopic post for easy water drainage during torrential rains, it can be lowered using a gear handle to achieve your desired pitch. It also has an innovative wall bracket with integrated floating bearings which has reduced the load on the whole structure when the option telescopic post has been used to lower the awning to the desired pitch.

The telescopic leg also has a compensation joint so that the structure can flexibly adjust to the new pitch when lowered into position. All of these things put together to make this the best product available on the market today for covering your patio. Even more, it’s available in over 200 different frame colours, has a ridiculously large range of fabrics available to ensure you will take delight in the system. As always with Weinor, there are a wide variety of optional extras that can be paired with the Plaza Viva to create the ideal system to suit your needs.

LED lighting can be integrated into the frame construction that allows you to use the awning into the dark of the night, which is brilliantly paired with our range of energy-efficient infrared heaters, that help cut energy costs by 30% compared to standard heaters.

The valance plus system can also be added to the front of your Plaza Viva to give you further privacy, creates additional shading and protects you from the wind. The whole system is fully electric and doesn’t come with a manual option, apart from operating the telescopic posts. The roof part is controlled by a hand remote control, wall switch or via a smartphone app, so that you can control the shading without even having to leave your chair.

You can also control the heating and LED lights from the same remote or by your phone app.

Weinor PergoTex II

All year round wind, rain and snow protection

The Weinor PergoTex II is an electrically operated all-weather retractable PVC and aluminium patio cover system, that opens and closes as simple as the roof of a modern convertible car, at the push of a button the fabric retracts so you can enjoy the sun or protect yourself from the rain. The heavy-duty cabriolet roof system gives you a retractable terrace patio cover that is more than capable of protecting you from the sun, wind, rain and believe it or not, snow so that you can enjoy your outdoor area all year round no matter the weather.

Commercial and domestic use

With so many different designs, options and sizes it is the perfect system for all different environments, covering a small patio, to a huge rooftop bar with ease. You can confidently leave the PergoTex II out in all weathers as it has been around for so long and only uses tried-and-tested technology that Weinor has been designing and innovating for many years. In just a single system the PergoTex can cover a maximum area of 7m wide with a projection of 6.5m, but can also be joined together to create an almighty 14m wide x 6.5m projection fully water & wind tight enclosed area.

Bespoke framework

As standard, the cassette part of the system has to be attached to an existing building structure, but where this isn’t possible the Deans Shades & Graphics can help design and supply a bespoke goalpost framework that the PergoTex can be attached on to create a freestanding option. Most retractable roof systems, from the standard folding arm awning to the Plaza Viva all use acrylic fabrics that are extremely hard wearing and aesthetically pleasing, but the PergoTex only uses premium grade PVC fabric and because of this, it can be used as a truly all-weather system.

Tear-resistant PVC

The tear-resistant PVC fabric is secured to robust aluminium transoms the whole way up the fabric which lets the rood withstand wind strengths of up to 8 on the Beaufort scale, which is overkill since you probably don’t want to be sitting outside in that sort of weather anyway but is much needed when you’re using the structure as a true extension.

Add sides to your PergoTex

One of the ways of enhancing your PergoTex is by adding sides and a front to it to give you an enclosed area by adding glass. Weinor have a wide range of different glass systems from fixed glass to sliding glass. You can also add the VertiTex drop blind system which is all controlled off of the same handset at the roof. Both options give you some extra weather protection from the wind and rain, as well as the low lying sun through the winter. The PergoTex is very easily operated by a number of control options such as a remote control handset, a wall switch, your mobile phone and if you add a wind, rain & sun sensor this will open or close your roof when required all on its own.

Amazing strength and durability

These effortless control options let you enjoy your alfresco area all year round by controlling the roof, heating, lights at the touch of a button. When the roof is at it open position the fabric is strengthened by using aluminium transoms fixed along the width the whole way down the fabric, this makes the roof strong enough for leaving out all year round, even in strong winds and snow!

The PergoTex uses the toughest and most durable PVC fabric available to ensure it can be used in all weathers, because of this the fabric cannot go around a roller barrel-like traditional textile awnings do. To get around this the fabric concertinas in folds when you retract it closed and then the fabric will sit under an aluminium shield that acts as a weather protection so that nothing gets caught in your fabric, this can all be colour matched to blend in with your frame.

Integrated guttering system

The front of the structure houses an integrated guttering system that collects all the rainwater and disperses this down the drainage pipes hidden within the support legs and then out to whatever side you desire, this saves and water running off the sides and soaking everything. The PergoTex is the perfect and most modern solution that enables you to enjoy the best outdoor experiences whether that be at home or out on the town, and with only the strongest modern materials being used this lets you have a low maintenance area the enjoy the outdoors for the foreseeable future.

If you can achieve a minimum of an 8-degree pitch then this allows you to use it as a rain cover. The water will then flow down the PVC fabric and into a front-mounted integral guttering system, then takes the rainwater down the integrated drainage pipes hidden within the support posts. As for installing the posts, there are a few ways we can do this. If your ground is suitable then we can just directly bolt them into place if your ground isn’t suitable, then we can set the posts into the ground using concrete.

Free Standing Awning

On the large majority of projects, our job is straightforward as you will either having a building or wall nearby the area you wish to shade that we can install our awnings to that provides you with a secure operation. However here at Deans Shades & Graphics, we like to pride ourselves on doing jobs that other companies will turn away from.

Budget free-standing awning

That’s why we offer two separate options to help you still achieve your dream covered area without having a solid structure to fit on to. To achieve this we will have to create a steelwork “goalpost” structure that is going to be strong enough to carry either one awning, or we could even install an awning to both sides giving you an even larger covered area from your property such as a restaurant terrace or beer garden area. If your ground isn’t going to be suitable just to fix the structure too then we can also carry out the required groundworks and set the posts in concrete into the ground.

Once the goalpost system is secured and the concrete has set then we can attach any awning system to it no matter how large or small, everything is bespoke for the exact project. We will manage and oversee the whole project from start to finish so that you can sit by an enjoy watching your terraced come together.

Premium free-standing awning

However, we can also supply a free-standing goalpost system that is manufactured & specially designed to house 2 awnings by our partner Weinor, based in Germany. Their system works perfectly with a number of their own awnings, and everything will be powder coated in the factory in Germany so that the structure blends in seamlessly with the awning frames.

The DuoFix is compatible with both the cost-effective Weinor Topas, the beautify designed Opal Design awning and also the Weinor Plaza Viva pergola awning that would give you a ridiculously large 13m long x 10m wide area that completely covered, the perfect situation for a large outdoor restaurant area.

The DuoFix system has integrated spaces for hiding all cabling if you go for an electric option, that when paired with our energy saving heaters and LED lighting you will have the more luxurious outdoor terrace catering solution available. It’s best suitable for large open public spaces traditionally associated with the hospitality industry, but also a great solution for school playground areas.
