Much like ourselves at Deans Shades & Graphics, May Umbrellas was founded as, and still is to this day, a family run business. Although they have massively expanded into having over 100 employees, they still stick to their founding principles that they stated when starting out. Filius Umbrella

FILIUS is the smallest of our commercial parasols. This is the most cost-effective umbrella for the catering industry and commercial use. It is strong and sturdy in even its smallest size dimensions – in terms of quality, user comfort, stability, and design, it’s hard to choose a better umbrella for most situations.

Due to the light nature of the Filius, it is particularly useful an area that needs to be set up in a short space of time. This makes it the ideal sun and rain protection for restaurants, cafes, or even as an event shelter.

As well as being an attractive commercial umbrella, the Filius is perfectly suited for the domestic market, not looking out of place on your patio or garden.

Options

• The Filius comes with 2 smooth operation options. A classic rope pulley system or with the crank drive.
• The Filius is also available in 3 different shape styles. Round, square or rectangular.
• It also comes with 3 powder-coated colour options as standard for the aluminium frame. White, Black, or Silver.
• Any other colour is available on request for an additional charge.
• Comes in a wide range of colours and fabrics in Mays own fabric range. A matching fabric valance can also be added, for extra protection or for adding branding.
• A protective cover bag can also be supplied to protect the umbrella when not in use, extending the life of your umbrella fabric. Where the umbrella is too large to reach a bag over, a telescopic pole will be supplied for ease of fitting the proactive bag, no ladders required.

Schattello Umbrella

The May Schattello is our most popular large umbrella due to its robust strength, and large size that can cover a massive outdoor area while remaining completely free-standing.

Due to this, it is more than capable of meeting the needs of multiple different sectors, including the restaurant trade, outdoor café spaces or even elegant public areas at live events and trade shows.

It also comes with the option of adding sides to it to create a heat able smoking solution or even just the perfect area for escaping the cold Scottish winters. Multiple umbrellas can also be coupled together to create a space however large you need it.

• The Shattello comes with 3 smooth operation options. A classic rope pulley system, crank drive or electric motorized.
• The Shattello is also available in 5 different shape styles. Round, triangular, square, rectangular or even eccentric for those awkward sized areas.
• It also comes with 3 powder-coated colour options as standard for the aluminium frame. White, Black or Silver.
  Any other colour is available on request for an additional charge.
• High wind safety, it can be left out in nearly all weathers. May ensure that this has been tested to its limits in a wind tunnel.

Albatros Umbrella

This Extra-Large umbrella wasn’t named after the Albatross bird with the largest wingspan in the world for nothing! It can cover a humungous space of up to 78m² in just one single umbrella, while also keeping in with Mays main goal of creating the cleanest elegantly designed parasol umbrellas available.

This has been designed specifically to cater to the largest outdoor areas available, particularly the restaurant and event market.
Even though it is one of the largest parasols available on the market today, it does this while also being maintenance-free, extremely strong, and very easy to use.

It comes with the option of adding removable sides, creating an enclosed area that can be heated, lighted and even by adding speakers. This is the perfect solution for creating a Covid safe space.
