CUSTOM AWNING WITH 15M PROJECTION
Back in early 2017, we were contacted by Tennent’s Brewery to see if we could come up with a proposal to cover the full beer garden of this new bar opening in the heart of Partick.
This project was slightly different than usual as it involved covering a large area, but the building didn’t have strong enough fixings to hold 2 large heavy duty folding arm cassette awning to span a width of 15m and a projection of 3.5m. Using our experience in the awning trade we came up with a design to install a steel frame to the ground and above the bi-folding doors, with the end of the building having large bespoke steel spreading brackets made up to take the weight without damaging the wall.
This all had to match up perfectly so that the awnings are side by side and cover the full area evenly. As this was for our long term customer Tennent’s we also had to apply large branding to each cover s that there is a massive advert for themselves and also the bar when you drive through Partick Cross.
