COMMERCIAL AWNING
Over the past 2 year we have worked with a prestigious client on many of their properties throughout Edinburgh. The latest one that we have completed is the Heritage of Scotland tartan and souvenir shop located on Law market in the heart of Edinburgh old town and in a property directly under where Robert Burns used to live, less than a 5 min walk to Edinburgh Castle.
Due to the positioning of this property the client stressed that a premium modern product was required, but that it still had to keep in with the architecture that you expect when visiting the old town part of Edinburgh. As they are a souvenir shop they have a lot of their good situated outside the store.
With this being Scotland we had to provide a product that could offer year round protection from the weather so their goods don’t get damaged and they don’t lose any sales opportunities due to not being able to put out the good while it’s raining.
We opted to go with the Weinor I2000 full cassette awning on this job. With this system you can couple 2 large awning together to create an unbroken 12m cover to optimise the area they have for putting out goods. The I2000 we used was also fully electric so that it can be brought out quickly in the event of bad weather rolling in and also very easy to put away at the end of the day.
